The independent festival producers behind Big As Texas have announced today that just under 40 nonprofit organizations will be participating onsite at the new outdoor festival is scheduled to kick off in the Lone State State beginning Friday, May 10 through Sunday, May 12, 2024 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds near Houston, Texas.

After announcing an inaugural music lineup filled with today’s biggest country music acts, the team behind Big As Texas plans to further fulfill its dual-mission of providing a positive and substantial economic and cultural impact on Montgomery County and the surrounding area while providing life-saving education and financial support to some of America’s most vulnerable communities that continued to be impacted by suicide by inviting more than three dozen nonprofits to participate onsite this spring.

To deliver upon these goals, organizers have chosen to launch their three-day festival in their very own backyard which is not only home to one of the fast-growing counties in the country – Montgomery County – but also happens to be facing an unprecedented epidemic with rapidly rising rates of suicide deaths.

Due to alarming local statistics about suicide, organizers are inviting local experts, doctors, therapists, elected officials, and nonprofit organizations to join together this spring and offer support to festival-goers seeking to learn more.

In addition to onsite activations and panels, organizers will donate ten percent of net proceeds from each individual ticket sold to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that promote suicide death prevention both in Montgomery County and across Texas.

The full nonprofit lineup is listed below and available online at

“Having been personally impacted by suicide with the death of my brother, this festival means so much more to me than just some weekend concert. We want to invest our money where it matters and ultimately drive a greater awareness about the epidemic facing this community ravaged by suicide. We hope Big As Texas’ impact far exceeds our festival dates, while supporting efforts to save lives,” said Big As Texas cofounder and community advocate Trey Diller.

Held at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds (9333 Airport Rd, Conroe, TX 77303) outside Houston, Big as Texas will soon host over 20+ hours of live music from the 30+ artists billed for this year’s three-day event that will make use of the fairgrounds’ sprawling 75+ acre campus set against the background of sprawling Texas prairie land.

With country and Americana music having played such an instrumental role in the cultural fabric of the Lone Star State, these two genres serve as the cornerstones of the music festival experience with the team having curated a world-class music lineup, with a third of the lineup hailing from the Lone Star State.

This year’s festival will feature some of today’s hottest acts featuring the full spectrum of country music (and then some) with Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley, Billy Strings, and Morgan Wade set to headline the Year 1 affair.

Other major performers range from multi-Grammy Award-winners Dwight Yoakam and Los Lobos to Texas music legends Tracy Byrd and Clay Walker to new-age country acts like Warren Zeiders, Maddie & Tea, Anne Wilson, and Drake Milligan. Plus, Texas will be well-represented with acts like Midland, Jamestown Revival, Amanda Shires, Buffalo Nichols, and Braxton Keith, not to mention Montgomery County’s very own Trent Cowie Band and Kate Watson, among other Texas performers.

“We are trying to build something special here with Big As Texas, not only in the music offerings but the overall experience that extends beyond our massive main stages. Since first launching this fall, support has been incredible and we can’t wait to finally meet this amazing community that only grows by the day come May,” said Big As Texas cofounder and Dosey Doe owner Steve Said.

The team behind Big As Texas remains as ambitious as the Lone Star State itself with much more than just music performances in store for attendees at this massive three-day celebration. Three-day GA and VIP passes are on sale now at BigAsTexasFest.com, with payment plans starting at low at $49.99.

Stay tuned as a new lineup featuring dozens of Texas vendors and artisans will be revealed in the coming weeks, alongside a schedule chalked full of activities from open-fire grilling with local chefs to custom car shows to equestrian exhibitions to carnival games to immersive art installations, silent auctions, chainsaw carvings, and so much more.

Festival organizers would like to thank this year’s partners and sponsors for supporting the inaugural event including Woodforest National Bank, St. Luke’s Health, and Tachus Fiber Internet, not to mention Busch Light, CELSIUS Drinks, Cutwater Spirits, Evamor Water, George Dickel Bourbon, Karbach Brewing Co., NÜTRL Vodka Seltzer, and Ranch Water Hard Seltzer, among others.
